University of Oregon - Baseball

Director of Operations

Jamie Walton is in his fourth season as director of baseball operations at Oregon after spending one year in the same role at Fresno State.

A native of Winnemucca, Nev., Walton is responsible for coordinating team travel, budget planning, on-campus recruiting and the day-to-day operations of the baseball program. In addition, Walton serves as the liaison between the baseball staff and academic services, media relations, marketing, fundraising, ticketing and the training room staff.

Walton graduated from the University of Oregon in 2014 and worked as a student manager with the Ducks’ baseball team while receiving his bachelor's degree in business and economics. His responsibilities for the team included coordinating practice schedules with players and coaches, setting up and breaking down practice drills, team laundry, and ensuring all student-athletes and coaches were in proper attire for practice and games. Walton also traveled with the team to ensure all equipment needs were taken care of, as well as, coordinating with opposing teams for various needs.

Walton spent a summer as a clubhouse manager for the eventual World Series Champion, San Francisco Giants, in 2014.
